Can Tho is preparing to host the 2015 Southern Traditional Cake Festival.

This year, the "Southern Vietnam Traditional Cake Festival" will be upgraded to a larger-scale event. The festival is expected to feature approximately 100 stalls showcasing over 100 types of traditional cakes, including: purple sticky rice cake (bánh tét lá cẩm), coconut leaf cake (bánh lá dừa), glutinous rice cake (bánh ú), small sticky rice cake (bánh ít), woven rice noodle cake (bánh hỏi mặt võng), puffed rice cake (bánh phồng), flattened rice flakes (cốm dẹp), and more than 50 regional and international specialty dishes.

At this year's Southern Vietnam Traditional Cake Festival, visitors can participate in many fun indoor and outdoor folk games, watch traditional Southern Vietnamese cultural performances, and finally admire unique handcrafted products.
