Fairy tale scenery at Co Thach beach

18/06/2014

The rocky beaches of Binh Thuan sea are impressive with their sparkling appearance like colorful gems, sometimes rough like giant sea monsters or deep green with moss.

From Phan Thiet city, follow National Highway 1A, go back north 90km, to Lien Luong town intersection, turn left and follow the red dirt road, both sides of the road are rustling casuarina forests to reach Co Thach beach, Binh Thanh commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province. Like other beaches in Binh Thuan, Co Thach beach is clear, blue with moderate but fast and strong waves.

The most attractive thing about the beach is the colorful rock beaches. The rock beaches are formed naturally by the effects of tides, ocean currents, and sea water. The rocks are pushed from the seabed to rise to the shore. The rocks come in many different sizes.

The phenomenon of rocks being pushed ashore has been happening every day, from ancient times until now. Rocks are not only black or gray, but also come in many colors: brown, yellow, purple, white, blue, pink, red… with many beautiful veins.

However, the most spectacular sight of the year in mid-March is when the entire rock is covered with a beautiful and unique layer of green moss.

The scene is like in paradise.

Co Thach Beach is only 300km from Ho Chi Minh City. If you plan well, you and your loved ones will be able to immerse yourself in this unique natural landscape on the weekend.
