To best serve visitors, the organizers of this year's Huong Pagoda Festival have implemented several innovations in management and organization. Entrance tickets are sold electronically to minimize crowding and prevent revenue loss. Over 3,700 boats have also been prepared to transport visitors along the Yen Stream. With such thorough and meticulous preparation, the 2025 Huong Pagoda Festival promises to be a great success, meeting the spiritual and tourism needs of a large number of people.

The road to the "Roof of Indochina" is "overcrowded".

This year, the number of tourists flocking to Sa Pa has surged compared to previous years. Accommodation options, from budget to luxury, are fully booked. Many tourists have struggled to find suitable lodging. Overcrowding is also occurring at popular tourist attractions such as Cloud Bridge, Silver Waterfall, and Cat Cat Village. From the beginning of the holiday, homestays and hotels were quickly fully booked, and even on the 5th day of Tet (Lunar New Year), the influx of tourists showed no signs of slowing down.

Sapa is packed with people celebrating Tet (Lunar New Year), with a single day bringing in as many visitors as an entire month.

With its majestic natural beauty, cool climate year-round, and unique cultural identity of ethnic minorities, Sa Pa has long been an attractive destination for both domestic and international tourists. Especially during the Lunar New Year, Sa Pa becomes even more bustling than ever.

Tens of thousands of tourists flocked to Sapa town (Lao Cai province) during the Lunar New Year holiday, causing traffic congestion and overcrowding on many roads.

According to reports, the cable car area to the summit of Fansipan is almost at full capacity, with long queues of visitors waiting for their turn. Thousands of people are checking in and chasing clouds at the top of Indochina's highest peak, creating an incredibly crowded scene. Those hoping for a private moment amidst the clouds and mountains will probably have to wait for another opportunity.

Da Nang is crowded but not overloaded.

Da Nang and Hoi An, two popular tourist destinations in central Vietnam, are witnessing a significant increase in tourist numbers recently. However, according to many tour guides, despite the large crowds, there is no overcrowding or long waits, providing a comfortable and memorable travel experience for visitors.

At Ba Na Hills tourist area, one of Da Nang's most attractive destinations, visitors can ride the cable car without queuing. This demonstrates the meticulous preparation and professionalism of the tourist area's management in organizing and coordinating tourists. This situation is not unique to Ba Na Hills; similar things are happening at many other tourist spots in Da Nang and Hoi An. Visitors can comfortably explore famous landmarks such as the Dragon Bridge, Han Market, and Marble Mountains in Da Nang, or the ancient town of Hoi An, the Japanese Bridge, and Tan Ky Old House in Hoi An, without encountering crowds or pushing.

Tay Ninh is crowded with tourists even as the holiday season is nearing its end.

According to statistics from the Tay Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, cited by Tay Ninh Newspaper, the number of tourists visiting Tay Ninh increased by over 200% compared to the same period in 2024. Tourism revenue in January this year reached 473 billion VND, a 205% increase compared to the same period last year.

Trong những ngày Tết, đặc biệt là đêm diễn ra Lễ khai mạc Hội xuân núi Bà Đen,

During the Lunar New Year holidays, especially on the night of the opening ceremony of the Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival, the "roof" of Southern Vietnam welcomed a record number of visitors.

Specifically, from December 25th to February 2nd (corresponding to the 26th day of the 12th lunar month to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake), the number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions in the province is estimated at 276,600, an increase of 11.4% compared to the same period last year, with estimated revenue reaching 225.7 billion VND, an increase of nearly 26.8% compared to the same period last year. Tay Ninh is a province in the Southeast region of Vietnam, sharing a border with Cambodia. The province possesses a rich system of scenic spots, religious structures, and historical relics. These include Mount Ba Den - the highest mountain in the South - at 986m, and the Tay Ninh Cao Dai Holy See.

Mount Ba Den, in particular, has seen significant investment in new constructions in recent years, attracting tourists. A highlight is the statue of the Goddess of Mercy, Tây Bổ Đà Sơn, which stands 72 meters tall at the highest point of the mountain. It is exquisitely carved with a benevolent face and a dignified yet gentle demeanor. The statue stands majestically on a bronze lotus pedestal, her left hand holding a vase of nectar, tilted downwards as if bestowing blessings upon all beings.

The number of tourists visiting Tay Ninh has exceeded all expectations.

A prominent feature on the summit of Mount Ba Den is the statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva, measuring 36 meters in height and 45 meters in width at its widest point. The statue depicts him in a seated position, with a benevolent face, a plump figure, and a joyful smile. This giant statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva was created using a unique method never before seen in Vietnam: it is assembled from 6,688 natural sandstone blocks, inspired by terraced rice fields.

In Ninh Binh, tourists line up with no idea when they'll get to board a boat.

While Sa Pa is bustling with tourists, in Tam Coc, Ninh Binh, many visitors are experiencing a tense wait for their turn to visit. At the Tam Coc boat dock, long lines of people wait, but no one knows exactly when it will be their turn to board a boat.

The main reason for this situation is the overwhelming number of tourists flocking to Tam Coc during the Lunar New Year, while the number of boats available is limited. Tam Coc, with its picturesque landscape and magnificent caves formed by the weathering of limestone, has long been an attractive destination for tourists. Especially in spring, when the rice fields on both sides of the Ngo Dong River turn a lush green, the scenery becomes even more poetic and charming.

Tourists line up to board boats for a tour of Trang An.

Many tourists patiently waited for hours hoping to float along the Ngo Dong River and enjoy the beautiful spring scenery. However, not everyone had the patience to wait. Many had to divert their attention to other attractions in the area to save time.

Overcrowding at Tam Coc boat dock not only causes difficulties for tourists but also negatively impacts Ninh Binh's tourism image. To address this issue, relevant authorities and local governments need to implement comprehensive and effective solutions.
