"Let the forest recharge your energy"
"The pace of life and temperature in the city have never been the ideal environment for peace of mind and body. However, you cannot leave the city for the forest. So let the forest be your energy charging station. Disconnect from the world, lie quietly on king-sized stones and take slow, full breaths to help your chakras be nourished, clean, and balanced. Relax, stretch each muscle and deeply feel the connection between yourself and nature and then you will realize how full you are to return to the city," shared Ms. Thuy Nguyen - founder of Thong Dong retreat in Ta Xua, Son La.
Many studies have shown that spending time around trees reduces stress, improves mood, and increases energy. Simply put, nature can heal our minds and our bodies.
From Thong Dong Retreat, visitors can also explore villages, walk under the cool forest canopy or explore and experience trekking activities...

During the journey, I learned what I wanted in life, and the more I traveled, the more I opened up to new things compared to my previous superficial way of thinking. After that, when I discovered many things that were open in the outside world that I had only been surrounded by before, I wanted to stop at a place with beautiful scenery, close to nature. And Ta Xua is the land I came to and stayed for a whole year but still really want to stick with it."

In addition, Thong dong retreat also cooperates with the Mong people to connect and exchange with tourists about indigenous culture, singing, traditional costumes or introducing brocade weaving... The Mong people in Chong Tra village have also started to get used to coming to Thong dong retreat to exchange panpipes or dances and join in the joyful atmosphere with tourists.
"I was a little worried about stepping into the nature experience, because when people knew about this place, they would flock to it and gradually destroy the landscape. Nature lovers like me would be quite heartbroken. I just want them to come and play, keep the nature intact and go home instead of trampling on the ecosystem or littering... Even in the future, when tourists come to Thong Dong Retreat or other tourism units, they will all be more conscious of preserving nature," Ms. Thuy Nguyen added.
