This is an annual poll to help passengers decide which airline to choose for their flights after the pandemic.
The criteria for selecting airlines are based on fleet age, passenger reviews and product service. Normally, profit is one of the important factors, but due to Covid-19, finances were temporarily omitted from this ranking. This year, the evaluation team also added factors related to the pandemic situation to score.
Topping the list is Qatar Airways, the Middle Eastern carrier that has pushed its predecessor Air New Zealand into second place. Singapore Airlines is third, followed by Australia's Qantas and Dubai-based Emirates in fifth.
The remaining five airlines, ranked from 6 to 10, are Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong, China), Virgin Atlantic (UK), United Airlines (USA), EVA Air (Taiwan, China) and British Airways (UK).

Thus, Asian airlines account for half of the 10 best airlines in the world in 2021, specifically including: Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Cathay Pacific and EVA Air.
