It hasn’t even been winter yet, but a cold front has swept across many provinces in northern China, from Beijing, Shanghai to Guangzhou. According to climatologists, the La Nina phenomenon is likely to bring colder, more volatile weather to much of the country this winter.
Hundreds of thousands of Chinese people poured into the streets, eagerly enjoying the first snow of the season. Snow falling on the alleys of Beijing brought a warm and intimate feeling, with images of children playing and people busy making a living. In contrast to the scene of fire and smoke in the human world, the snow in the Forbidden City was somewhat colder.

The "love affair" that only meets once a year between the white snow and the red walls of the golden tower, has lasted for more than 600 years.

The mascot appears to be wearing a white mask.
...and the "snowmen" in the Forbidden City filled the window frames

In the white snow, one can still vaguely see the silhouette of the Forbidden City of the past.
