Hon Khoi salt field (Khanh Hoa)
Located in Ninh Hai commune, Ninh Hoa district, Khanh Hoa province, Hon Khoi peninsula is one of the largest salt fields in Central Vietnam. The pristine white salt fields stretch out, bathed in the golden sunlight of summer, highlighting each tiny salt grain, which sparkles like precious gems.

The salt-making season in Hon Khoi runs from January to July each year. The best time to harvest large, flavorful white salt crystals is from April to June. This is the hottest period of summer, resulting in a high yield of salt.





The most beautiful time to visit Hon Khoi is in the early morning when the sun begins to rise and the locals are collecting salt. The sight of farmers carrying loads of pristine white salt on their shoulders, wearing traditional conical hats, like bringing back a gift from the sea, is sure to captivate any visitor.

Furthermore, visiting the Hon Khoi salt fields at sunset will provide visitors with incredibly magical and vibrant images. The fiery red sunset sky reflecting on the white salt fields creates a perfect combination for stunning, unedited photos.
Dam Vua salt field (Ninh Thuan)
In Khanh Nhon village, Ninh Hai district, the Dam Vua salt field, covering over 1,000 hectares, is considered one of the largest salt production areas in Ninh Thuan province. The salt-making season at Dam Vua usually runs from December to September of the following year. The salt from Dam Vua has a relatively high nutritional content. To obtain pure white salt free of impurities, salt farmers must invest a great deal of time and effort.

Beyond its economic value, the Dam Vua salt field also boasts immense tourism potential. Photos taken at the salt field have been widely shared on social media, turning Dam Vua into a trendy tourist destination in Ninh Thuan.

Amidst the vast natural landscape, the salt fields in Central Vietnam stretch endlessly, pristine white like snow. When the bright golden rays of sunlight shine upon them, the entire field sparkles like crystal, resembling a snow-covered European mountain region.
Sa Huynh salt fields (Quang Ngai)
The Sa Huynh salt fields, located in Pho Thanh commune, Duc Pho district, Quang Ngai province, are considered the largest and most important salt production area in Central Vietnam. The salt fields stretch endlessly like giant mirrors reflecting the brilliant sunlight, adorned with countless mounds of pristine white salt and the diligent salt workers carrying their loads... creating a simple, rustic yet captivating scene.




Here, visitors can not only take beautiful, pristine photos amidst the salt fields, but also experience firsthand the process of making these pristine white salt crystals alongside the salt farmers. The salt-making season usually runs from December to May of the following year. The salt-making process begins with preparing the land, soaking the sand in seawater, then leveling the sand, drying it on the fields, and sprinkling seawater onto the drying area, followed by sprinkling starter salt. When the sand dries, tiny salt crystals form on each grain of sand.
