“Over the past week, we’ve spoken with healthcare workers, the facilities where they work, and even their families and friends, and found they especially need our slippers to make their feet more comfortable while they work, and also to make it easier and more convenient to clean themselves before going home to their families,” said Andrew Rees, CEO of Crocs.
Crocs (CROX) slippers are made from a rubber-like molded polymer. They are waterproof and can be easily washed, which is a plus when people need to take extra precautions because of the spread of the coronavirus.

Crocs said it is sending some shipments directly to hospitals and other medical facilities, and is allowing healthcare workers to sign up for free slippers by visiting the brand's website. Crocs said it will continue to donate slippers as long as there are slippers left to give away.
"The timing of our slipper donations will depend on the amount of slipper inventory we have and the number of requests we receive," Rees said. "These healthcare workers have our deepest respect and we look forward to meeting their needs and providing them with whatever we can during this unprecedented time."
