The National Conference on Surgery and Endoscopic Surgery was held in the context of Da Nang gradually controlling the epidemic and returning to a "new normal" state. The conference, held in a hybrid format (in-person and online), took place over two days, December 10th and 11th, 2021, with over 1,000 guests. Approximately 500 guests attended in person at the Ariyana International Convention Center. All attendees and conference staff were ensured to have received both doses of the vaccine, had a safe contact history, followed proper traffic flow, and adhered to the 5K guidelines during the event.
The program, organized by the Da Nang City Department of Tourism in collaboration with Hoa Binh International Investment, Trade & Tourism Co., Ltd., will take place over two days at the Ariyana International Convention Center. This event is expected to be a "boost" to kickstart Da Nang's tourism industry during the annual MICE tourism peak season, which runs from the end of 2021 to the beginning of 2022.
Da Nang, a coastal city in Central Vietnam, has many advantages to become the "MICE capital" of the country.
The conference area was equipped with a remote body temperature measurement system, including thermal cameras that detect movement and send audio and visual alerts to the central control screen when a moving object with a high temperature is detected. The online event utilized many modern technological devices such as: camera systems, switches, network equipment, and synchronized laptops. Furthermore, the conference also applied virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D rendering technologies (VR, AR, and Hologram) to transform the static space into an impressive and eye-catching virtual environment, aiming to provide attendees with the best possible experience.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Director of the Da Nang City Tourism Promotion Center, the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) delegation attending the National Conference on Surgery and Endoscopic Surgery will create a very positive impression on tourists, helping businesses and other customers feel more confident in choosing Da Nang as a destination for their events. At the same time, the city government is always focused on disease prevention and control, ensuring the safety and success of the event and the satisfaction of tourists during this period.
