On October 13, Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said that she had submitted to the city People's Committee two pilot plans to welcome international and domestic visitors.
Accordingly, from November, the city proposed to start welcoming two groups of international visitors. The first group is commercial visitors or overseas Vietnamese, entering the country for official purposes, visiting relatives, and repatriating; passengers must be quarantined according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health. The second group of visitors follows the model of closed tours or package tours, with some international markets having open tourism policies and vaccine passports. In particular, focusing on the Korean and Russian markets.

Korean travel companies are working with the Department of Tourism and have proposed to bring tourists on two trips of 200 people a week. For the Russian market, there are also companies in contact and said they will bring to Da Nang from 2,000 to 4,000 tourists per month.
Da Nang tourism leaders expect that when the Government reopens international flights, visitors will return to the city. In June 2022, the city will host the Asia Routes Development Forum 2022 (Routes Asia 2022).

For domestic tourists, from October 20, Da Nang will restore on-site tourism to serve the people in Da Nang. Then, from November, a "travel bubble" model will be organized between Da Nang and a number of localities across the country, allowing for the exchange of tourist sources, initially with Quang Nam and Quang Ninh. When the Government allows the restoration of all activities, Da Nang will welcome tourists from all over the country.
