On October 13th, Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, announced that she had submitted two pilot plans to the City People's Committee for welcoming international and domestic tourists.
Accordingly, starting in November, the city proposed welcoming two groups of international visitors. The first group consists of business travelers or overseas Vietnamese entering for official purposes, visiting relatives, or returning home; passengers must be quarantined according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. The second group will follow a closed-loop tour or package tour model, focusing on certain international markets with open tourism policies and vaccine passports. This will particularly concentrate on the South Korean and Russian markets.

Korean travel companies are working with the Department of Tourism and have proposed bringing in 200 tourists twice a week. Regarding the Russian market, a company has also contacted us and indicated they will bring between 2,000 and 4,000 tourists to Da Nang each month.
Da Nang's tourism leaders expect that when the government reopens international flights, tourists will return to the city. In June 2022, the city will host the Routes Asia 2022 Forum.

For domestic tourists, from October 20th, Da Nang will restore local tourism to serve the people of Da Nang. Then, from November, a "tourism bubble" model will be implemented between Da Nang and several localities nationwide, potentially facilitating the exchange of tourists, initially with Quang Nam and Quang Ninh. Once the government allows the resumption of all activities, Da Nang will welcome tourists from all over the country.
