Models break the mold with the 'Rice' collection by designer Cong Tri

Immediately after returning home, he continued to introduce “Lúa” at Vietnam International Fashion Week 2016. Recently, this collection was renewed by the Dep team and a photo series was created to express a different spirit and perspective of the designs in the “Lúa” collection.

With the desire to bring a new perspective to the designs of Lanh My A by Cong Tri, the Dep team chose the background as everyday corners that have value over the years such as a wooden house with a dirt floor, a sofa...; or a street corner at night after the hustle and bustle; studio settings with checkered tile backgrounds create an old, everyday & nostalgic feeling. After performing on classy, ​​luxurious stages, the photo crew wanted to breathe new life into the "Rice" collection. From there, each audience will feel the beauty through a personal perspective.

If in the previous times, supermodel Kim Nhung was chosen as the vedette for Collection No.9, this time, the team combined Kim Nhung with Cha Mi, Kha My Van and Thanh Thao in group photos and solo. The models in Cong Tri's Lanh My A designs with sharp eyes and faces and bold poses evoked a new innovation for the "Rice" collection. This also shows another beautiful angle of Lanh My A designs as well as the boldness and difference in the artistic perspective of the team.

Sharing about the inspiration for the 2016 Haute Couture Collection called “Rice”, Cong Tri said: “The image of Vietnamese peasant women in Ao Ba Ba in the rice fields, always hard-working and strong through the ages is the inspiration for Collection No.9 this time. Based on the simple Ao Ba Ba style with raglan sleeves, round neck, slit and two front pockets, the comfortable shape is transformed into different styles of shirts, pants, skirts and dresses, creating the main structure of the Collection”. Accordingly, 90% of the material of the Collection is Vietnamese silk, especially Lanh My A silk, which is completely hand-woven. The remaining 10% belongs to other materials for sewing techniques.

Currently, Cong Tri is in the process of preparing a new collection to be launched this year. He has also just introduced to those interested in fashion the newly renovated showroom, located at 194 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Ward 6, District 3, which he designed and selected the interior himself.
