Whiteman Airforce Base (Whiteman AFB) is a United States Air Force base located in Johnson County, Missouri, that operates B-2 Spirit bombers and houses nuclear bomb silos. It was officially visited by former President Barack Obama on July 24, 2013.
A seemingly endless line of vehicles stretched into the base.
Of course, to enter this military base, you would have to be a US citizen and carry a... work-related document. However, during the first two weekends of June, when the airshow takes place, the organizers "open the gates," only conducting security checks like boarding an airplane.

All eyes are also on the "Mobile Wonder of the World" – the B-2 Spirit, manufactured by Northrop Grumman, a multi-mission stealth bomber equipped with conventional and nuclear bombs.

This is an opportunity for visitors to witness firsthand the power of the United States Air Force.
The B-2 is the most expensive aircraft ever produced: estimated costs per unit range from approximately $1.157 billion to $2.2 billion, so I jokingly told people it was the "Miss Airshow" of the event.
The multi-billion dollar B2 aircraft is showing off to tourists.

On this side is an F-16 Fighting Falcon from the 36th Fighter Squadron at Whiteman AFB, on display, while its comrades await their turn to demonstrate various real-world air-to-air combat tactics.
When the B2 took off, everyone held their breath and stood still to...watch.
On the other side is the C-5 Galaxy – the largest military transport aircraft in the US, serving as the backbone of the country's strategic transport missions. This aircraft can easily fit inside the fuselage of a medium-sized C-130 transport plane to carry goods thousands of kilometers.
Visitors can "explore" the inside of the C-5 Galaxy.

The author took the opportunity to try his hand at raising the nose of an F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet.
At midday, columns of colorful smoke appeared in the sky, marking the beginning of demonstration flights by various aircraft: A10 Warhog, Randy Ball Mig17-F, Tora 101, P-51D, Trojan Horseman T-28, and the "B" series aircraft: B-1B, B-17 "Texas Raider", B-25 "Devil Dog", B-29, B-52…

"A free show like this is definitely worth the trip of thousands of miles to see!" - I complimented myself amidst the scorching summer sun of Missouri...
