The 4th "GO OUT", with the name: "LOOK, 7 Years Retrospective" is like a pause to look back at the activities of 8 teachers and students over 7 years of gaining experience through direct drawings of nature.
"GO OUT" 4th time with the name "LOOK", 7 Years Retrospective.
With 48 landscape paintings by 8 authors, including two guest artists Nguyen Quang Vinh and Le Kinh Tai, who have worked with the group. They directly shared their experiences in creative work as well as indirectly created stepping stones in visual style and writing techniques to form a unique personal technique for the members of the "5+" group.
Although the 48 paintings on display this time are not enough, they almost summarize a period of formation and development of the visual style as well as the personal techniques of young artists Lam Son Than, Huy Phan, Tran Van, Nhat Duy, Nguyen Xuan Nghi, and Tran Hanh.

To better understand the story of "GOING OUT" between teacher and student, Travellive had a conversation with artist Le Kinh Tai.
Artist Le Kinh Tai.
PV: Hello, can you share about the "Going Out" journey over the past 7 years with young artists?
Artist Le Kinh Tai:Looking back at 7 years of being teachers and students, uncles and nephews together "GOING OUT", what Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh and I are most proud of is sharing experiences in the creative process as well as encouraging and motivating the young generation to have a serious working spirit. Going out to the studio together to draw landscapes, further improving the skills in using materials for young people.
Seniors like me and Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh can see your personality and style. In any profession, especially in the field of art, you always need to find your personal mark in each of your works. I feel very confident in this "young generation", each person has a different color, everyone has their own quality and is full of potential.
PV: What do you hope for the exhibition "GO PLAY" and the group "5+"?
Artist Le Kinh Tai:Currently, my personal wish and my friend Nguyen Quang Vinh's in "GOING OUT" is that this young generation will continue this journey with the next generation, and share their personal experiences in creative exploration with the next generation, and even younger colleagues.

During the exhibition opening, Travellive reporters also had the opportunity to chat with Lam Son Than - a "core" member of the "5+" group.
Artist Lam Son Than.
PV: Hello Son Than, can you explain the name "5+"?
Artist Lam Son Than:7 years ago, my uncle and I went out together. Every year we regularly had trips here and there to share our artistic perspectives and natural drawings. The group was led by Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh and Mr. Le Kinh Tai, with 5 members including: Nhat Duy, Huy Phan, Tran Van, Nguyen Xuan Nghi and me. The 5 core members worked hard and were ready to "invite" more talented and passionate young people to join, hence the name "5+". This exhibition had the participation of a new member, young artist Tran Hanh.
The exhibition "GO OUT" is on display at Thi Art Space until August 20.
PV: After 7 years with "GO PLAY", what are your feelings?
Artist Lam Son Than:In fact, it is often easy for art students to lose their way when they first graduate. If they do not have a clear direction and do not nurture the passion for art within themselves, it is very likely that they will change careers because they do not know where to go. Thanks to "GOING OUT" we have the opportunity to connect like-minded souls who love art and are more active.
PV: What is your special memory during the 7 years of "HANGING OUT" with the group?
Artist Lam Son Than:Almost every trip brings an interesting experience. The most memorable are the family meals, when the whole group gathers together to enjoy special dishes that Uncle Le Kinh Tai personally cooked for the whole group. I am a vegetarian but he also favors me by cooking vegetarian dishes. The dish that is especially delicious, for me only Uncle can make it so delicious, is vegetarian Quang noodles.
PV: What does "GOING OUT" mean to your artistic career?
Artist Lam Son Than:For me, painting is not simply a profession to earn a living, but it also shows who I am when I bring my paintings to the public. I feel very lucky to have the companionship of teacher Nguyen Quang Vinh and uncle Le Kinh Tai in the first steps to live properly with the profession. We consider the teacher and uncle as our father and uncle in the family, very grateful and respectful.
Thank you artist Lam Son Than!
