DIFF 2019 lasted for more than a month.

On the morning of March 21st, representatives of the organizing committee announced that DIFF 2019 will have five competition nights with the themes: Origins, Life's Beginning, Love, Colors, and Setting Sail. The opening night is scheduled for June 1st, with the opening competition between the Vietnamese and Russian teams.

Next up are the competition nights featuring Brazil vs. Belgium (June 8th), Finland vs. Italy (June 15th), and England vs. China (June 22nd). The two best teams out of the eight participating teams in DIFF 2019 will compete in the final night (July 6th).

According to the organizers of DIFF 2019, each team's performance will tell a story about rivers – testaments to history and culture, waterways connecting the lifeblood of each nation and region – told through fireworks and music, through the sublime expression of art and emotion.

Vietnamese artists such as My Tam, Uyen Linh, Ha Anh Tuan... will participate in performances during the festival nights. A new feature of DIFF 2019 is a flashmob dance competition with the theme "Waves of Youth" on a nationwide scale.

"This year, the organizing committee plans to spend approximately 140 billion VND to cover the costs of activities at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019," a representative of the organizing committee informed.

Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, stated that after two years of organizing the fireworks festival through a socialized model, it has saved hundreds of billions of dong. DIFF 2019 is expected to continue the successes of previous editions, making a significant contribution to helping Da Nang maintain its position as a leading attractive festival tourism destination in the country and the region.
