Vietnam's tourism revenue increased by more than 39% in February

In the first two months of the year, revenue from accommodation and food services increased by 12.6% and tourism revenue increased by 39.4%; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at more than VND876,000 billion.

According to the General Statistics Office, in the first two months of the year, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are estimated at more than VND 876,000 billion, up 1.7% over the same period last year (excluding price factors, down 0.3%).

Of which, the group of cultural and educational goods increased by 12.7%; food and foodstuffs increased by 9.0%; means of transport increased by 4.3%; clothing decreased by 8.1%; household appliances, tools and equipment decreased by 9.1%.

In February alone, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue were estimated at VND421.8 trillion - down 7.1% over the previous month and up 3.1% over the same period last year; revenue from accommodation and food services increased by 12.6% and tourism revenue increased by 39.4%.

Specifically, revenue from accommodation and food services in the first two months of the year in some localities: Bac Ninh increased by 39.6%; Khanh Hoa increased by 22.1%; Binh Dinh increased by 20.1%; Phu Yen increased by 17.5%; Hanoi increased by 12.7%; Quang Ninh increased by 7.5%; Ho Chi Minh City decreased by 29.1%.

Tourism revenue in the first two months of the year in some localities: Khanh Hoa increased by 466.2%; Lang Son increased by 16.3%; Can Tho increased by 4.8%; Hanoi increased by 3.5%; Da Nang decreased by 2.8%; Ho Chi Minh City decreased by 19.6%.
