Wild sunflowers are yellow, have many round petals like sunflowers, and grow easily and develop quickly even in harsh weather or dry, rocky land. Therefore, they are also called wild sunflowers.
The yellow color of the flower is very special, like the deep sunlight of early winter, rustic and gentle. The flower stem is on average 1-2 meters high, so when the flower clusters intertwine, they will create a beautiful virtual living wall.

Wild sunflowers are often grown in high terrain, such as Gia Lai, Da Lat, Moc Chau. In Ba Vi, wild sunflowers are not as numerous as in Da Lat, but the flowers are often larger and the colors are also darker. Wild sunflowers are considered a sign of winter on the top of Tan mountain, so enjoying the flowers on Ba Vi mountain in the cool, misty weather also brings indescribable feelings compared to other places.

Ba Vi wild sunflowers are planted most at the 700th point. By November, the whole space is filled with yellow. Therefore, this is also the place with the most tourists every flower season. If you do not like the feeling of jostling, you can choose to ride along the edge of the forest or go to the 400th point, where wild sunflowers are planted scatteredly and there are fewer tourists.

If you want to enjoy your own "flower world", visitors can choose to camp overnight in Ba Vi and check-in at the flower garden very early. The most popular free overnight camping spot for tourists here is the pine forest at Ba Vi Resort. This is a fairly quiet area, with many spacious flat areas for camping. From the pine forest to the wild sunflower viewing spot is not far, so early in the morning, visitors can leisurely arrange their belongings, watch the sunrise, have breakfast and wait until the fog clears before starting to move.
Wild sunflowers are most beautiful in the morning, when the first rays of winter sunlight have just risen, dew still lingers on the leaves and petals.

Legend of wild sunflower
Wild sunflowers are associated with the legend of the faithful love of H'limh and K'lang. Legend has it that in a certain village, there was a K'lang from the mountains who loved H'limh from the stream. Their happy and joyful life continued. Until one day, K'lang was captured by the cruel men of the Lasieng tribe while hunting. To protect her lover, H'limh used her body to block the arrows and spears of the evil men from harming K'lang. Until, she was hit by the last poisonous arrow of La rihn, the son of the Lasieng chief, and then gradually fainted in the extreme pain of K'lang. After H'limh died, at the place where she died, flowers with a bright yellow color grew. People called them Wild sunflowers.
That is also the reason why wild sunflowers are grown on high mountain slopes and forests, and why wild sunflowers are considered a symbol of faithful love and strong vitality.
