Meanwhile, domestic tourism is also booming as travel agencies offer a series of new, attractive tours at affordable prices. For example, a 4-day, 3-night Hanoi to Mui Ne and Vung Tau tour departing on April 30th costs 9.1 million VND per person; a 4-day, 3-night Hanoi to Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An tour costs 8.5 million VND per person; a Hanoi to Buon Ma Thuot tour costs 8.2 million VND per person; a 4-day, 3-night Hanoi to Phu Quoc tour costs 10.6 million VND per person; and a Hanoi to Nha Trang tour costs 9.9 million VND per person...
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi My, an employee at a travel agency in Hanoi, tour prices for the April 30th holiday this year are higher than in previous years and 10 to 20% higher than usual due to increased input costs such as airfare, accommodation, restaurants, and fuel prices. Despite this, the number of customers buying tours remains high, with many tours already fully booked.
"Even though it's only the second half of March, many holiday tours in April and early May are already fully booked. Some tours to China are also attracting more interest from tourists because that country has recently reopened to tourism with Vietnam. The April 30th holiday tourism market is expected to be a good springboard for the tourism industry to enter the peak summer season," Ms. My said.
Planning a family trip to Da Nang during the April 30th holiday, Mr. Do Duy Tung (Ha Dong, Hanoi) said that although travel costs during the holiday are higher than usual, since his family hasn't been able to travel together since the summer of 2022, he and his wife decided to let their children relieve stress during this 5-day holiday.
"Because my family is very busy, it's rare for us all to have 5 days off together. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for the whole family to travel together. The cost is higher, but not excessively so, still within our family's budget," Mr. Tung said.
With numerous holiday tours for April 30th - May 1st being widely advertised at various prices, many businesses advise tourists to choose reputable agencies when booking tours and to carefully research the itinerary to avoid a disappointing holiday.
