According to the Q1/2022 report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, the province's tourism industry has seen significant improvements, welcoming over 1.4 million visitors and generating more than 2,700 billion VND for the region. Of this total, Binh Thuan received approximately 5,600 international visitors, a 9.3% increase compared to the same period last year.
With the aim of making tourism a key economic sector, Binh Thuan has also improved its transportation system, infrastructure, and upgraded services to stimulate tourism throughout the province.
"Besides the coastal transportation system connecting coastal tourist destinations with urban areas, creating favorable conditions for the development of tourism in particular and Binh Thuan's economy in general, the Central Government has also agreed to support Binh Thuan in completing several major infrastructure projects such as: expressways, coastal roads passing through the province, and Phan Thiet airport. The province is also strengthening efforts to attract investment in large-scale tourism projects and continuously diversifying tourism products," Mr. Bui The Nhan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, further shared.

In particular, the province is also expanding its transportation system to increase connectivity and convenience for tourists visiting Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan. The presence of the Dau Giay – Phan Thiet Expressway, expected to be operational by the end of 2022, along with the 5-star express train service from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, will further diversify transportation options for tourists visiting this beautiful coastal region.
Furthermore, Binh Thuan successfully launched a tourism stimulus program for the region with the theme "Welcome Summer 2022" - an event that strongly attracted the attention of tourists who enjoy visiting coastal cities in general and exploring Phan Thiet in particular. In addition, the official launch of the Binh Thuan Tourism Trade Platform also helped increase the attention of both domestic and international tourists.
Playing a crucial role in the country's green living and green tourism trends, the 2023 National Tourism Year in Binh Thuan will have the theme: "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence".
