Following successful trials in April on select routes departing from Dubai, Emirates has gradually expanded the IATA Travel Pass e-health passport pilot program to passengers on 12 routes in June. The airline has now signed a contract with IATA to deploy the solution globally.
Adel Al Redha, CEO of Emirates, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with IATA from the pilot phase to the full rollout of the IATA Travel Pass eHealth Passport solution. We will continue to work closely with IATA to improve and deliver even safer and smoother flights for our passengers.”

Electronic health passports are currently being offered to Emirates passengers departing from 50 cities and are expected to be fully rolled out across all of the airline's more than 120 destinations by October.
Key features of the IATA Travel Pass electronic health passport.
- The most up-to-date information repository on travel requirements: allows passengers to search for accurate information regarding travel requirements, tests, and vaccinations for their flight.
- Check-in at testing centers: allows passengers access to certified Covid-19 testing centers at their point of departure to meet destination requirements.
- Digitizing paperwork: an application that allows passengers to manage their travel documents digitally.
Passengers can download the app and register using their passport to create a digital identity. Videos and detailed information are available at:https://www.emirates.com/vn/vietnamese/experience/contactless-journey/
