Held from May 29 to June 26, 2021, Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2021 with the theme"The essence of Vietnamese crafts"There are many differences compared to previous Festivals, especially the scale is expanded from space to time.
Accordingly, the program is held throughout 1 month, with the opening ceremony on June 12 and the closing ceremony on June 18. The events are held in many spaces and locations with each week/event instead of taking place within a week like previous events.
Location, focusing on exploiting the walking street area on both banks of the Perfume River, the cultural and artistic space axis of Le Loi Street and some central areas of the city. This new combination is expected to bring unprecedented experiences to the people and visitors participating, while strongly conveying the spirit and goals of the program.
The highlight of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2021 focuses on contemporary creative design orientation, bringing traditional Vietnamese crafts closer to daily life. The emphasized elements include Creativity - Culture - Craft. Accordingly, craft villages, artisans, and businesses are encouraged to bring to the Festival contemporary creative designs but still based on the foundation of traditional cultural values and traditional crafts.
Participating in the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2021 are many famous faces such as designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam, Trinh Hoang Dieu, Kenny Thai, painter Le Thiet Cuong, musician Quoc Trung, choreographer Tran Ly Ly, band Buc Tuong, artist Dinh Hoai Xuan, singer Tung Duong, dance group Lyricist...
First held in 2005, the Hue Traditional Craft Festival has quickly become an annual event, of great importance in terms of cultural, entertainment, social, tourism and business development. The 2021 Hue Traditional Craft Festival is expected to breathe new life into the tourism and economy of Hue city in 2021.
