Hue has long been a familiar destination for Vietnamese travel enthusiasts. A city of culture with numerous historical sites, Hue possesses a profound yet poetic beauty. However, Hue is not just about majestic tombs and the iconic Trang Tien Bridge over the Perfume River; it also boasts many new, unique, and equally poetic destinations. Make a note of them so you can visit Hue in the near future…
The Lonely Tree in Ha Cang Village
The filming locations of "Mắt Biếc" (Blue Eyes) are still incredibly popular, and one of the must-visit check-in spots is the lonely tree in Ha Cang village. This area is located in Ha Cang village, right next to the Bo River and about 12km from the center of Hue city.

To this day, Ha Cang village still retains its rustic and simple charm. The image of the solitary tree standing amidst the lush green fields creates a surprisingly poetic and peaceful scene. If you visit on a sunny day, you will experience the film-like beauty of this place.

Here you can also visit vast sugarcane fields, lush green gardens full of fruit trees... or village gates and riverside docks that still retain their pristine and simple charm.

Ru Cha Forest
Ru Cha Forest is located about 15km from the center of Hue city. Starting from the city center, simply drive along National Highway 49 towards Thuan An beach, turn left across Tam Giang bridge, and pass Thao Long dam to reach Ru Cha forest.

The name Rú Chá comes from the fact that most of the trees here are naturally growing mangroves, many of which are decades old. This is also the only remaining pristine mangrove forest on Tam Giang Lagoon.

Visiting Ru Cha Forest, you'll be immersed in the lush green space of the trees and plants. Take some time to stroll along the small paths through the forest, and you'll be able to admire the roots of centuries-old trees, breathe in the fresh air of the mountains, rivers, and vegetation. From a high vantage point, you can also admire the peaceful forest scenery, like a beautiful painting.

Le Ba Dang Art Center
If you're an art enthusiast and appreciate truly artistic settings, then don't miss the Le Ba Dang Art Center located along the romantic Perfume River. This center displays and preserves nearly 400 works by artist Le Ba Dang, whose pieces are diverse and rich in expression, as well as reflecting a strong cultural identity.

This center boasts modern French-style architecture and an impressive, luxurious design that blends seamlessly with nature. From the building's rooftop, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the stunning surrounding landscape. There is also a long tunnel beneath the hillside that houses art exhibitions and documents, paintings, and photographs related to the family of the renowned painter Lê Bá Đảng.

The center is located in Kim Son village (Thuy Bang commune, Huong Thuy district, Thua Thien Hue province). The entrance fee is 269,000 VND for tourists and 150,000 VND for Hue residents.

Don Ca Arch Bridge
Located on the border between Da Nang and Hue, the Don Ca arched bridge rests at the foot of the Hai Van Pass. Originally a railway bridge, it was designed in the French architectural style with impressive arched spans and towering stone columns.

Because the Don Ca arch bridge is located in a secluded spot and is somewhat difficult to access, many people are unaware of it. This bridge spans a small stream with a winding path of gray-white gravel alongside the railway tracks. Viewed from above, the railway line and the arch bridge resemble a soft silk ribbon draped across the mountains, creating a rare and majestic scene. Simply visiting this place will make you feel like you've stepped into a completely different world.

To get to Don Ca Arch Bridge, go up Hai Van Pass and search "Don Ca Arch Bridge entrance" on Google Maps. After going to the end of the road and reaching the railway tracks, turn right and you will see Hai Van North Station. From there, simply park your car and walk to the right for about 700 meters, and you will see the majestic base of the arch bridge.
