The organizers of the Vietnam Festival have officially announced plans to hold the 2014 Vietnam Festival from September 13-14 at Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, Japan.

With the theme "Hand in Hand," this year's Festival is seen as an opportunity to strengthen the friendship between the people of Vietnam and Japan.

At a press conference held at the Vietnamese Embassy headquarters, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung, co-chair of the Vietnam Festival Organizing Committee, highly appreciated the efforts of the Organizing Committee, individuals, and units from both countries that contributed to the success of the 2013 Festival, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Ambassador expressed hope that the Vietnam Festival 2014, also the 7th edition, would continue to be a success, making an important contribution to the close relationship between the governments and people of Vietnam and Japan.

Former Senator and co-chair of the Vietnam Festival organizing committee, Mr. Matsuda Iwao, believes that the Vietnam Festival 2014 will continue to be a familiar destination for Japanese people and Vietnamese people living and working in Japan to meet and interact.

According to him, the best thing is that the Vietnam Festivals have created a strong bond between the governments and people of the two countries.

According to the plan, this year's Festival will take place over two days, September 13-14, and will be open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.

At the festival, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine, as well as cultural programs, music, and artistic performances rich in national identity.

According to the organizers, this year's festival will feature 98 stalls, including 49 food stalls and 49 stalls displaying goods and handicrafts. The highlight of this year's festival is the spectacular water puppet show performed by traditional Vietnamese puppeteers.

With meticulous preparation, the water puppet show promises to make a strong impression on visitors, especially since this is the first time this art form has been performed in Japan.

The organizers hope that the Vietnam Festival 2014 will attract 150,000 visitors, an increase of 20,000 compared to last year.
