Dalat Railway Station was built by the French in 1932 and is one of the oldest railway stations in Vietnam. This building stands out with its French-style architecture combined with Central Highlands culture, featuring three distinctive arches on the facade, mimicking the three peaks of the legendary Langbiang mountain. Furthermore, the station boasts a unique rack railway, the only one of its kind in Vietnam, which once connected Dalat and Phan Rang. This is one of the highlights that attracts many tourists interested in history and architecture.
With a history spanning nearly 100 years, Da Lat railway station is not only a repository of cultural values but also a witness to the city's development. This structure is considered one of Da Lat's iconic landmarks, embodying the spirit of the past and the nostalgic beauty of the French colonial era.

Following its recognition as a tourist attraction in September 2024, the iconic landmark of the misty city has undergone a significant adjustment to its entrance fees. From October 1st, 2024, the entrance fee will increase from 5,000 VND to 50,000 VND for adults and children aged 6 and above, while children under 6 and people with disabilities will be admitted free of charge. This increase aims to ensure funding for the preservation and maintenance of infrastructure and the improvement of service quality at the historical site, helping Da Lat Railway Station maintain its standards and cultural value in the future.
Despite the significant price increase, this is considered a necessary step to preserve and develop the station amidst the growing demand for tourism. Upgrading infrastructure and services will provide visitors with better experiences when visiting the old station and learning about Da Lat's rich history.
