The Da Lat-Trai Mat night train, known as the "Da Lat Night Journey," officially launched on the night of April 14th, organized by the Vietnam Railways Corporation. This novel tourism product is attracting the attention of tourists after three days of free train tickets from April 11th to 13th.
On the night train from Da Lat station to Trai Mat station, a journey of about 7km, tourists participating in the experience discover new and exciting things with the innovative services from the railway industry, along with the stunning scenery of Da Lat at night.

In addition to the regular daytime trains, Vietnam Railways (VNR) will operate two extra train pairs, DL11/DL12 and DL13/DL14, departing from Da Lat Station at 6:15 PM (DL11) and 8:20 PM (DL13) to serve passengers. In the opposite direction, train DL12 will depart from Trai Mat Station at 7:15 PM and DL14 at 9:20 PM.
Ticket prices on the Da Lat - Trai Mat route range from 72,000 to 100,000 VND per round trip. Passengers purchasing round-trip tickets will receive a 25% discount, and group bookings of 10 or more people will receive a discount of 15% to 40%.
"Da Lat Night Journey" has left a lasting impression on tourists with its unique and novel experiences. Besides enjoying unique music and relaxing with artichoke tea, and using free Wi-Fi throughout the journey, tourists can also enjoy a dinner party upon request (not included in the ticket price). On opening day, Vietnam Railways (VNR) also opened a screening room for a documentary about the history of Da Lat Station and the Thap Cham – Da Lat rack railway line.
In particular, at Da Lat Railway Station, one of the events in the "night journey" series was a mini music performance themed "The Sound of Wood and Da Lat," featuring a wonderful performance by singer Moc San, which made a strong impression on tourists.
This is the only unique rack railway in Vietnam serving tourists visiting Da Lat city. With a train journey of about 1 hour (30 minutes going and 30 minutes returning) and a slow speed, during the day, tourists can comfortably relax and admire the romantic beauty of Da Lat, while at night, the beauty of Da Lat is incredibly magical, different, and captivating.
