Lost amidst The Florest - Flowers in the Forest, rediscovering the authentic Da Lat.

Located more than 20km from Da Lat, traversing winding mountain passes and nestled amidst vast pine forests, The Florest emerges like a fairytale land in the Ta Nung valley. Officially launched during the Lunar New Year of 2023, The Florest – Flowers in the Forest, a new tourist destination in Da Lat, quickly attracted the attention of visitors due to its scale and unique features. Deep in the valley, surrounded by primeval and ancient pine forests, The Florest has been compared by many visitors to a "forgotten horizon" or a "giant fairytale garden" in Da Lat.

Spanning approximately 60 hectares of grassland, this is home to vibrant flower gardens featuring dozens of different flower varieties, meticulously planned and planted in large quantities across various zones. With a concentrated flower garden area of ​​around 14 hectares, The Florest is becoming the largest flower garden tourist destination in Vietnam. Amidst the vast, colorful landscape of thousands of flower species, visitors can find a coffee area, a lake, a vegetable garden, and a livestock area, all harmoniously designed to create lively and attractive highlights for the resort.

Mr. Le Xuan Truong, chairman of Dai Viet Group, is the one who planted the seeds of "Flowers in the Forest" in Ta Nung. In a conversation with a reporter, he said that it took him three years to cultivate the place to achieve its current appearance.

"I'm not from Da Lat, but I'm deeply saddened to see Da Lat in danger of losing its natural landscape and unique misty climate. I've stayed in the highlands for several years now to personally experiment with the 'Flowers in the Forest' season, carefully selecting each rock and positioning them to ensure they're suitable, preserving the essence of Da Lat while creating a comfortable space for visitors. My hope is that 'Flowers in the Forest' can first serve the people of Da Lat, and then tourists from afar," Mr. Truong shared.

At The Florest, the use of reinforced concrete is minimized. All furniture and decorative elements are crafted from wood or stone, creating a natural and cozy atmosphere. Even the pathways around the valley are not paved with asphalt but instead feature unpaved dirt roads with wooden fences, creating a landscape reminiscent of a pristine prairie straight out of a movie.

Upon arriving at Hoa Trong Rung (Flowers in the Forest), visitors can immerse themselves in enchanting fields of purple heather, stretching as far as the eye can see, feeling as if they are in paradise. You can also enjoy a hot cup of tea amidst vibrant snapdragon fields, with scenery reminiscent of distant Switzerland. Or sit quietly by a campfire, warming yourself in the cool highland air, gazing at the cosmos flowers reflected in the crystal-clear lake. In this vast, fairytale-like natural landscape, even the most restless soul will find peace, allowing them to breathe in and fully appreciate the beauty.

In addition, on the gentle slopes of the hills, there are many other flower patches, such as chrysanthemums, petunias, hydrangeas, and zinnias... Each type of flower has its own unique beauty, but all share a free-spirited, harmonious atmosphere amidst the mountains and forests of the vast plateau.

In the near future, this tourist area is expected to expand its range of services to offer more exciting experiences for visitors. In addition to existing activities, The Florest will develop further activities such as camping, relaxation, fishing, sports, farming, culinary experiences, and cultural events and festivals of the Central Highlands. Thanks to the diversity and richness of its recreational activities, this place promises to become a top-class destination that visitors from near and far cannot miss.
