According to the Decision, Vietnam Railways Corporation is responsible for fully complying with the provisions of the Tourism Law and relevant legal regulations in the process of managing and operating tourism business at the "Da Lat Railway Station" tourist destination.
The building has a symmetrical layout, with the central structure mimicking the three peaks of Langbiang Mountain and the traditional longhouses of the Central Highlands; the two sides are flanked by elongated structures. Overall, the architecture harmonizes with nature and is a unique urban landmark.
The Da Lat train station is designed to resemble Langbiang Mountain and the unique Tây Nguyên (Central Highlands) longhouse roof, with three pointed spires measuring 11m high, 66.5m long, and 11.4m wide.
The oldest train station in Indochina is in Da Lat.
The Da Lat railway station, built between 1932 and 1938, is located at an altitude of over 1500 meters above sea level. It is the only station in the Central Highlands and is considered the most beautiful old railway station in Vietnam and Indochina, with architecture reflecting strong local characteristics. The Da Lat station was recognized as a national historical and cultural monument in 2001.
Currently, Da Lat railway station is no longer used for transportation but is instead used as an attractive tourist attraction in the city of a thousand flowers. The only railway line that Da Lat station still serves is the 7km route from Da Lat to Trai Mat, taking tourists to visit Linh Phuoc Pagoda. With a relatively slow speed of only 15 km/h, the train allows tourists to fully admire the beauty of Da Lat city.
This place isn't just a daytime tourist attraction. With the "Da Lat Night Journey" train, departing from 6:15 PM to 9:20 PM daily, visitors can admire the magical and unique beauty of Da Lat at night. The night train is beautifully decorated, like something out of a fairy tale, making it a favorite spot for tourists to take photos. Besides enjoying the night scenery, passengers can also enjoy music and dinner parties upon request.
