Reportedly, the leaders of Dong Da district have traveled to Ho Chi Minh City to learn from the operational model and draw lessons from pedestrian streets in Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, and Hai Ba Trung districts in order to apply the same experience to the Hoang Cau Lake area.
Special highlights at Hoang Cau Lake include: Adding another artificial peninsula to connect the spaces, which will serve as a stage for performances and showcasing OCOP products. Mai Anh Tuan Street will be developed into a commercial and food street.
The district is seeking approval from the city to operate Nguyen Van Tuyet Street like Tong Duy Tan Food Street, with activities continuing throughout the night. This will be combined with the renovation of the special national historical site of Go Dong Da, introducing 3D mapping performances and night tours.
Hoang Cau Lake, a food street, and a new nighttime stage performance in Hanoi.
Specifically, Hoang Cau Lake will have an additional artificial peninsula to connect the spaces for performance stages, product displays, and nighttime food stalls. The peninsula, with its green space and lake surface, is an advantage for developing stage performances and nighttime food stalls. The water and green space will be an ideal location to attract people for recreation and relaxation.
With these innovations, the Hoang Cau Lake area promises to become a new destination attracting tourists and locals alike, contributing to the development of Hanoi's night-time economy.
Hanoi has successfully developed night-time tourism products, notably: nighttime activities in pedestrian streets, night tours of Thang Long Imperial Citadel, literary tours at the Vietnam Literature Museum, and night tours at Hoa Lo Prison historical site… These night-time tour products have offered many unique experiences for tourists, creating a distinctive character for Hanoi tourism.
As the leading economic hub of the Northern key economic region, developing nighttime economic activities is a necessity for Hanoi. Previously, shopping malls and late-night eateries in Hanoi only stayed open until around 10 PM, but now their operating hours have extended significantly. In addition, a series of night tours and pedestrian streets have been introduced, enriching the choices available to tourists.
