Each seat faced the same direction, looking towards the two giant speakers hanging on the wall, the proud stars of this 98-year-old organization.

Lion Cafe is one of the rare remaining meikyoku kissa, or masterpiece cafes, in Tokyo. Outside, the stone walls create a strong and sturdy appearance, while inside, the dimly lit space creates a warm and romantic atmosphere with dark wood tones and exquisite sculptures.

Customers can request several classical pieces from this vast collection; however, they must adhere to a pre-set playlist unless the piece they wish to has already been selected.
The café has over 10,000 CDs and classical music records.
