EL Doko - the name contains an interesting story. "El" in Spanish means "the" - also the place where Teppanyaki kitchen was invented, in English these are the first two characters of the number 11. And "Doko" in Japanese means "where", it is quite similar to the name of Dong Khoi street. The name is like an invitation for diners to come to 11 Dong Khoi, where there is a Japanese restaurant that harmoniously combines two culinary styles Omakase and Teppanyaki.

Entering EL Doko, diners will be overwhelmed by the luxurious, modern space that still retains the sophistication of Japanese culture. The restaurant has a common area and private rooms for those who want to organize parties.

A surprising and satisfying combination
Coming to EL Doko, diners will be on an adventure of unexpected taste with Omakase. There is no fixed menu, diners "put their trust" in the hands of the chef, letting them lead you to discover dishes made from the freshest seasonal ingredients. Ingredients here are imported directly from Japan and other countries around the world. In particular, fresh seafood from Japan is imported by air 2-3 times/week, so freshness and quality are always guaranteed. There are rare and hard-to-find seasonal foods such as matsutake mushrooms (pine mushrooms), black cod testicles, white cod, puffer fish, pipefish...

Steamed dish: Dobin (teapot soup) is stewed from fresh fish bones, combined with fresh seafood, stewed for about 3 hours.
Sashimi includes: Japanese tuna belly, fresh Japanese octopus, Siroebi white shrimp, sweet shrimp, red sea bream.
As for Teppanyaki, this is not only a culinary style but also a performing art. At EL Doko, diners will admire the chef's skillful techniques on the Teppan grill (made of cast iron or steel) and enjoy dishes prepared hot on the spot, keeping the delicious flavor intact. The flickering flames, the pleasant sizzling sound and the fragrant aroma will captivate you and completely captivate you in this performance.

If Omakase brings sophistication and mystery, Teppanyaki is vibrant and full of energy. EL Doko wants to bring diners a new experience, where they can both enjoy Omakase and admire the performances of Teppanyaki chefs."

In the Omakase menu, there will be times when diners are surprised and delighted to see Vietnamese ingredients appearing in Japanese cuisine. With his hands deftly presenting the dishes, Andy (Omakase chef at EL Doko) shared: "We always try to keep the fresh and delicious flavors of Omakase intact, while thinking creatively about dishes that can be combined with Vietnamese products. For example, this steamed egg with shrimp and Ikura dish is a combination of traditional steamed egg and Mekong Delta shrimp. Not only does it preserve the characteristic sweetness, but this creativity also creates a unique and novel flavor, making the meal more attractive in the Japanese-Vietnamese style."
