With the approval of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province and the guidance of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan, Thien Minh Group and Victoria Phan Thiet Resort & Spa jointly organized the Mui Ne Dunes Marathon - the first national-level race held here.
In addition to the meaning of a unique sports and tourism event to attract tourists to Binh Thuan, the Organizing Committee also emphasizes the humanitarian meaning of the Mui Ne Dunes Marathon. With the message "Run for the Central region", all expenses collected from organizing the race will be transferred to the Flood-Proof House program of Song Foundation to support the people of the Central region who suffered damage due to floods in 2020.
The tournament attracted nearly 400 professional and amateur athletes from all over the country and foreign tourists competing in distances of 5 km, 10 km and 21 km, starting from Victoria Phan Thiet - a resort with a 450 m long white sand beach and 7 hectares of lush tropical gardens.
The participants walked on the beautiful roads in Mui Ne City, especially with many ups and downs, this is considered one of the most challenging and worth experiencing races.
In the context that most international races have been postponed or canceled, the successful organization of Mui Ne Dunes Marathon has special significance for stimulating tourism and attracting visitors to Binh Thuan. The race also promotes the spirit of mutual love of Vietnamese people.
