"Gióng Tự Do" (Gióng the Freedom) is a song that blends contemporary folk with rock, creating a sophisticated musical fusion. Through the powerful and surging voice of singer Lê Việt Anh, the song simultaneously conveys a sense of poignant depth and subtlety, recreating the ancient story of Thánh Gióng, from an ordinary boy to a resilient hero, driving out the invaders and reclaiming independence and freedom for the nation.

The music video "Gióng Tự Do" (Gióng's Freedom) is based on that idea, depicting the journey from the young Saint Gióng to the unwavering aspiration of the Vietnamese people, expressed through the expressive vocals of Lê Việt Anh and the refined language of dance. Without overly elaborate large-scale scenes, the music video opts for a simple studio setup, combining artistic techniques to create profound and impressive images.

Huy Tran Jack, the author of the song "Giong Tu Do" (Giong's Freedom), shared: "After witnessing Le Viet Anh try his hand at many fields such as stage, musical theater, especially with works connected to culture, patriotism, and history, I immediately thought of a completely new direction for Viet Anh: modern, youthful pop/rock songs that easily touch the hearts of the general audience, yet still carry a heroic and fresh historical message. Giong is a saint in the history of Vietnam's nation-building and defense, full of profound meaning and emotion. Inspired by the story of Saint Giong, I composed this song to convey the ancient people's aspiration for freedom and the hope of helping Vietnam rise and transform into a dragon in the new era."

Speaking to the press at the launch event of the music video "Gióng Tự Do" (Gióng of Freedom), singer Lê Việt Anh said: "I have always been fascinated by the depth of our nation's culture and history. 'Gióng Tự Do' not only expresses the aspiration for freedom of the ancient Vietnamese people, but also conveys the belief in rising up and transforming Vietnam into a 'dragon' in the new era. This is not just a musical product, but also the common voice of the Vietnamese people, inspiring the spirit of contributing to building the country and preserving the historical values of the nation. The combination of folk and rock elements brings a new color that is both familiar and intense, modern. It allows me to go through many emotional levels, from the ferocity of battle to the profound silence of the aspiration for freedom. In particular, the sound of Dương Thùy Anh's two-stringed fiddle is like a companion, telling a story with me using two different musical languages, yet blending together subtly."

Meritorious Artist Duong Thuy Anh, who plays the two-stringed fiddle, also shared: "I am truly happy and moved to be invited to participate in this project. Bringing the two-stringed fiddle – a traditional instrument – into the rock space requires creativity and subtle adjustment. Adjusting the playing style to retain the folk spirit while blending it with the modern spirit of the song is a fascinating challenge."
The music video "Gióng Tự Do" (Gióng of Freedom) was officially released on August 19, 2025, on online music platforms and social media. Through this work, the male singer also wanted to express his gratitude to the teachers at Hanoi College of Arts who supported him throughout his artistic journey.
Le Viet Anh won second prize in the light music category of the 2011 Sao Mai Singing Contest and was honored as the most popular singer at the 2012 Sao Mai Rendezvous. He made his mark with ballad songs such as "Tinh Nhan" (Lover), "May" (Clouds), and the album "Nu Cuoi Mat La" (2019) with Dang Tuan Phuong.
In April 2024, he released the album "A Different Sky," featuring 7 songs by composer Do Bao, with a youthful, simple yet profound style, which was highly praised by music professionals. Besides singing, Viet Anh also made an impression in the field of musical theater with leading roles in "Waves" and "Fire from the Earth"—plays about the first Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, Nguyen Ngoc Vu.
After 14 years in the arts, Le Viet Anh continues to challenge himself and prove his worth with polished products that bear his personal mark and demonstrate a spirit of dedication.
