Over three decades of operation in Vietnam, Ford has built a strong position with more than 405,000 vehicles sold, along with a domestic production and assembly system comprising four key models: Everest, Ranger, Territory, and Transit.
On this occasion, Ford Vietnam introduced two new models: the upgraded Territory and the all-electric Mustang Mach-E, with deliveries to domestic customers expected to begin at the end of September 2025. This event marks a strategic step for Ford in expanding its product portfolio and launching its electrification journey in Vietnam.
On the morning of August 15th in Hanoi, Ford celebrated 30 years of presence in the Vietnamese market.
Speaking to the press at the launch event, Tom Somerville, Director of High-Performance Electric Vehicle Marketing at Ford Motor Company, said: "The Mustang Mach-E is one of the most exciting models Ford has ever introduced. This specially designed electric vehicle possesses a unique personality, embodying the distinctive Mustang spirit, and boasts a range of up to 550 km, arriving at the right time to meet the expectations of Vietnamese customers. The Mustang Mach-E's harmonious and responsive electric platform allows for customizable driving experiences, whether on spectacular mountain passes, highways, or rough roads."
As the trend toward electrification becomes increasingly evident, Ford has proactively adapted by launching the Mustang Mach-E – its first all-electric vehicle.
The Mustang Mach-E (priced at 2.59 billion VND) is Ford's first electric vehicle in Vietnam.
The Mustang Mach-E is a high-performance electric sports car, officially imported from the USA, marking a major step in Ford's electrification strategy in Vietnam. With 395 horsepower, 676 Nm of torque, and a range of up to 550 km per charge, the Mustang Mach-E represents a fusion of Mustang heritage and modern technology. Furthermore, the company has invested in a charging station network (nearly 300 charging points nationwide), integrated the FordPass application, and accelerated digital transformation to create a foundation for an electric vehicle ecosystem. The Mustang Mach-E supports 150kW DC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10–80% in just 36 minutes. After 10 minutes of charging, the car can travel an additional 107-119 km depending on the version, reducing waiting time and making travel more convenient.
Furthermore, the Mustang Mach-E is equipped with an advanced driver assistance technology package, making driving more relaxed and enjoyable. These technologies include: Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go and lane-centering functions; Collision Avoidance Assist with automatic emergency braking; and Lane Keeping Assist with blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Powered by a modern, versatile, and energy-efficient battery-powered electric drivetrain, Mustang's first SUV to launch is available in an all-wheel drive (AWD) version utilizing two electric motors, delivering incredible performance and impressive control on the road.
The Mustang Mach-E electric car debut:
Ahead of the shift towards electrification, Ford possesses a diverse range of engine platforms and products, meeting the demand for green vehicles when the market is ready. This demonstrates a gradual rather than mass-market strategy, aiming to ensure suitability with the affordability and usage habits of Vietnamese consumers.
Currently, Ford is offering a special price of 2.499 billion VND for the first 300 customers, as a way to encourage consumers to be among the first to experience its premium electric vehicle line.
A closer look at the new generation Ford Territory
Ford also launched the next-generation 2025 Territory with exterior changes and some interior upgrades.
At the event, Ford also launched the new 2025 Territory, featuring changes to its exterior and several interior upgrades. The car is priced from 762 million VND (Trend version) to 904 million VND (TitaniumX version). The 2025 Ford Territory boasts a completely new look at the front, with a redesigned grille, sharper front and rear bumpers, and modern full-LED headlights and taillights, creating a striking impression and boosting driver confidence on any road. The smoky blue paint color further enhances the luxurious and sophisticated feel of the new model.
