Ha Giang, the land at the head of the Fatherland with its wild and majestic beauty, has long been an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists. In particular, during the recent Lunar New Year, Ha Giang witnessed a sudden increase in the number of tourists, reaching an impressive number - more than 150,000.
The attraction of Ha Giang comes not only from the majestic natural landscape with overlapping limestone mountains, winding terraced fields, or winding, dangerous mountain passes, but also from the unique, diverse cultural identity of ethnic minorities.
The poetic mountain scenery that anyone can fall in love with
During Tet, Ha Giang becomes more brilliant and vibrant than ever. Tourists not only admire the beautiful natural scenery but also immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, experience traditional customs and enjoy the specialties of this land.
The sudden increase in the number of tourists has caused many hotels and motels in Ha Giang to be "full". Many tourists have had to struggle to find accommodation, even sleeping at local houses or choosing small, simple homestays.
According to the assessment of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang, this year, the number of visitors to the locality during the Tet holiday increased to a record high, especially from the 2nd day of Tet. According to statistics of this unit, from the 26th of December to the 4th day of Tet, the total number of tourists to Ha Giang reached nearly 150,000, of which more than 7,000 were foreign visitors. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 353.8 billion VND.
The number of visitors coming here in the first days of the year is expected to be a year of tourism development in Ha Giang.
In Dong Van town (Dong Van district), on the 3rd and 4th days of Tet, accommodation facilities were "sold out". Similar to Dong Van town, Meo Vac district is also a destination that attracts many tourists, and accommodation facilities here are also "sold out". According to the owner of a homestay in Meo Vac town, since the 2nd day of Tet, guests have been calling to book rooms. However, all accommodation facilities, large and small, here are fully booked until around the 6th day of Tet.
However, the "room shortage" situation also shows the growing attraction of Ha Giang tourism. This is a positive sign that the province's tourism industry is growing strongly, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
To meet the increasing demands of tourists, Ha Giang needs to continue investing, upgrading tourism infrastructure, expanding service types and diversifying tourism products. At the same time, it is necessary to focus on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, protecting natural landscapes for sustainable development of Ha Giang tourism. Hopefully, in the future, Ha Giang will continue to be an attractive destination for tourists, not only during Tet but also throughout the year.
