This event will bring the culture of the Hmong people in Ha Giang to the public in the capital, and especially create a ripple effect for the main event taking place immediately afterwards on November 18th and 19th, 2016.

The "Ha Giang Mong Ethnic Culture Space in Hanoi" will take place over three days with a variety of rich and attractive activities. The program will recreate the cultural space of the Mong ethnic group right in the heart of the capital city with a series of unique activities such as Mong flutes, Mong bamboo flutes, money sticks, leaf horns, and mouth horns… Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in games and unique artistic performances, such as: Mong flute dances, bird-catching, watching flax weaving demonstrations, Mong ethnic artisans demonstrating the traditional flax weaving process, reenacting the Gau Tao Festival – the annual spring festival of the Mong people, and trying on traditional costumes. The performances will be presented by Mong artisans and professional performers. People from Hanoi and neighboring provinces, as well as international tourists, will have the chance to experience the unique and long-standing culture of the Mong ethnic group.
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy unique dishes of the Mong ethnic group such as: highland dried beef, local sweets, seedless persimmons, Ha Giang mandarin oranges, buckwheat flower wine, a product associated with the most characteristic flower of this border province. Especially, for the first time, buckwheat, a famous flower of Ha Giang, will bloom in Hanoi. This promises to bring wonderful experiences to visitors, allowing them to admire and take photos with buckwheat flowers right in the event space… Along with a series of cultural and artistic activities, the organizers have also arranged photo spots, food areas, and exhibition booths. Artists and artisans will perform street art around the Ho Hoan Kiem pedestrian area in Mong ethnic costumes, helping visitors to better and more authentically connect with the culture of the Mong ethnic group…
