Hanoi closes roads to facilitate the Lunar New Year flower market (Year of the Rat).

From January 4th, 2020 to January 24th, 2020 (the 30th day of the Lunar New Year), Hanoi will organize 51 spring flower markets to serve people celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Rat 2020, and will also implement road closures on 5 streets in Hoan Kiem district, where the spring flower markets are held.

To facilitate the display and introduction of ornamental plants, flowers, fruits, Tet holiday products, and traditional craft products to meet the shopping and sightseeing needs of people and tourists during Tet, Hanoi organized 51 spring flower markets from January 4, 2020 (corresponding to the 10th day of the 12th lunar month) to January 24, 2020 (corresponding to the 30th day of the 12th lunar month). Specifically:

  • Ha Dong District: 9 points
  • Tay Ho District: 7 points
  • Bac Tu Liem District: 5 points
  • Son Tay town: 4 points
  • The districts of Hai Ba Trung, Long Bien, Dong Anh, and Thanh Tri each have 3 points.
  • Thanh Xuan, Hoang Mai, Thanh Oai, and Thuong Tin districts: 2 points each.
  • The districts of Hoan Kiem, Me Linh, Gia Lam, Phu Xuyen, Ung Hoa, and Soc Son each receive 1 point.

Hang Luoc Flower Market

Accordingly, Hanoi has implemented road closures on five streets in Hoan Kiem district, where the spring flower market is held in conjunction with activities at the mural exhibition space on Phung Hung street. These streets include: Hang Luoc, Hang Ruoi, Hang Khoai (the section from the intersection of Hang Giay street to Hang Luoc), Hang Ma (the section from Dong Xuan to Hang Cot), and Phung Hung (the mural exhibition section - from Le Van Linh street to Hang Cot).
