Towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the leaders of the Party, State and Government have paid special attention and directed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) to organize a series of large-scale activities.
Following the close direction of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, museums under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism and the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theatre, will open free of charge to serve tourists and the public during the National Day on September 2.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, some museums and tourist attractions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City open free of charge.
During these important holidays, museums and affiliated units will simultaneously launch many special display and exhibition programs, focusing on comprehensively introducing the history, culture, country and people of Vietnam.
At the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the center for preserving Uncle Ho's legacy, there will be many outstanding activities: the opening of the thematic exhibition "80 years of the People's Public Security remembering Uncle Ho's words" is scheduled for August 15, followed by the thematic exhibition "Independence Autumn" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, scheduled to open on August 26. In particular, on the occasion of National Day September 2, the Museum will also introduce the "Exhibition of large-scale oil paintings Independence Spring" in the outdoor space, promising to create an impressive artistic highlight.
Ho Chi Minh Museum will have many meaningful exhibitions and outdoor activities for visitors to experience.
Along with that, the Vietnam National Museum of History will also contribute to the series of events with the thematic exhibition "Education for the masses - Lighting up the future", scheduled to open on August 22. This exhibition will recreate an important period in history, when the whole people unanimously eliminated illiteracy, laying the foundation for national education.

At the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum alone, a series of art exhibitions and displays will be held to celebrate the August Revolution and National Day. Notably, the exhibition "Children of the Fatherland" is scheduled to open on August 15, along with the epochal exhibition "Artificial Intelligence in Applied Fine Arts" scheduled to open on August 22. Not only in Hanoi, the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Ho Chi Minh City will also contribute to the series of events with the exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - Portrait of a Man", bringing Uncle Ho's image closer to the Southern public.

Not only stopping at museums, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will also become a vibrant destination on this occasion. Under the direction of the Department of Ethnic Culture of Vietnam, many attractive cultural activities will be organized, vividly introducing the rich traditional culture of the Vietnamese ethnic groups.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the bustling "highland market" space and enjoy unique cultural and artistic activities performed by the ethnic communities living in the Village, together celebrating National Day. This series of events promises to bring a meaningful September 2 holiday, both an opportunity for the public to review historical traditions and an opportunity to explore and honor the diverse cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
The Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will recreate the highland market space and organize cultural and artistic activities of ethnic minority communities.
