Sharing with Travellive, the organizing committee of Hoa Lo Prison Relic said: “With the support of tourists from all over the country and abroad, the number of monthly programs is just enough to serve the needs of each visitor. Usually, the programs will be fully booked 1-2 weeks before the event date.”
Not only causing a storm on social networks because of its attractive content, Hoa Lo Prison Relics attracts the attention of many tourists because of its easy-to-understand and attractive approach to history. Even the night tour to visit Hoa Lo Prison Relics is always sold out several months in advance.
The media effect on the fanpage of Hoa Lo Prison Relic has attracted many people closer to the history of the country. The journeys that visitors experience make them feel the historical significance and remember important marks. Currently, the fanpage has attracted more than 261,000 followers, receiving thousands of likes, interactions and shares every day.
The key here comes from posting articles on Facebook. The stories, events or historical figures are presented in many creative forms by the relic's media team, both current and catching up with the current trends on social networks. Typical examples include the humorous integration of puzzles, song lyrics, illustrations... with information related to seemingly dry history. In addition to Facebook, Hoa Lo Prison Relic also focuses on developing content on other social networking platforms such as Instagram, Spotify... with "time travel".
Through documentary images, the tour guide's explanations and especially the animations recreating the stories in an extremely vivid way, they brought visitors extremely impressive perspectives.

Through documentary images, the tour guide's explanations and especially the animations recreating the stories in an extremely vivid way, it brought the participating tourists extremely impressive perspectives.
Hoa Lo Prison is a relic filled with historical events, a haunting past that makes many people curious to explore. However, the reputation of this place has really exploded in the past few years, becoming a popular tour, especially among young people.
The night tour starts at 7pm and ends at 9pm and is usually held every Friday and Saturday for 120 minutes. Participants register in advance with the organizers via the fanpage to arrange a specific time. The "Sacred Night" tour is a series of evening tours with many different topics. Currently, Hoa Lo Prison Relics is serving 2 night tours: "Sacred Night 2: Living like flowers" and "Sacred Night 3: Fire of youth".
Many participants described the experience with phrases such as: Touching, tearful, shivering, amazed, impressed...
According to the Hoa Lo Prison Relics Organizing Committee, "Sacred Night 2: Living like flowers" limits the age of participants from 8 to 75 years old. This tour focuses on honoring the revolutionary soldiers and female prisoners who lived and fought bravely in Hoa Lo Prison. From there, it emphasizes the message "Living like flowers".
As for the tour “Sacred Night 3: Fire of Youth”, the age limit for participants is from 10 to 75 years old. Once known as “hell on earth”, Hoa Lo Prison was also a revolutionary school that tempered many steel spirits. With the boiling fire of youth, many eighteen and twenty year old heroes fought bravely and died heroically right here. The program “Sacred Night 3: Fire of Youth” honors young heroes with true historical stories.
In each night tour experience, all information and content are described very realistically. Making participants feel some of the hardships and difficulties that revolutionary soldiers had to go through in the past.
At the end of the tour, each visitor can enjoy snacks such as almond tea, almond leaf cake and almond jelly, made from the almond tree - one of the important "characters" appearing in the tour.
With slightly astringent but clear aspen tea, eaten with aspen jelly, coconut jelly and lotus seeds, the dish evokes simplicity, purity but richness, unforgettable like the indomitable spirit of many generations of patriotic Vietnamese people.
The Hoa Lo Prison Relics Organizing Committee added that visitors coming to the night tour must also comply with a number of regulations.
Visitors do not film or take photos during the experience but focus on the feeling. All filming and photography activities can be done at the end of the tour. The organizers also arrange a photographer to accompany the group to record memorable images. In addition, when visiting, visitors should remember to wear formal clothes, do not wear shorts/skirts above the knee or revealing clothes, and do not laugh or talk loudly during the experience. Currently, the price for each tour is 300,000 VND/person.
Until now, the popularity of the night tour to visit Hoa Lo Prison Relics still makes many tourists have to book tickets a month in advance. Bringing visitors a very new, impressive and unforgettable experience.
“The Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board in particular as well as all cadres, workers and employees will continue to aim to spread gratitude and love of history to the public in general and especially to the young generation,” the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Organizing Committee said about its upcoming plans.
