The Korea Meteorological Administration has announced the 2023 cherry blossom season. The season begins in late March and lasts until mid-April. According to forecasts, the earliest bloom is on Jeju Island, on March 20. Chuncheon City, Gangwon Province, is the latest place to see the flowers, on April 5. The peak bloom date is usually a week after the start date.

Jinhae:A district in Changwon City and home to Korea's largest cherry blossom festival. The festival lasts for 10 days, starting on March 25. This location is a 4-hour drive from Seoul. Some suggested beautiful flower viewing spots are the Romance Bridge on Yeojwacheon Stream, Gyeonghwa Station. Viewing cherry blossoms illuminated at night is also an experience that visitors should try. Daegu: If you like places that are less crowded than Seoul or Jeju, Daegu City is a suggestion. Beautiful photo spots with cherry blossoms include Chimsanjeong Pavilion, Daegu Cherry Blossom Spot E-World Park.
Busan:This seaside city is a destination for seafood and cherry blossom lovers. Beautiful flower spots include Namcheondong Road, Dalmaji Hill, Samnak Park. Busan has "thousands of beautiful flower viewing spots", which can be visited on a day tour.
Seoul:Spring is the perfect time to visit the South Korean capital as the weather is warm and the streets are filled with flowers. Popular photo spots include N-Seoul Tower, Bukchon Hanok Village, Seoul Forest and the royal palaces.
Jeju:Jeju Island is famous for its “king cherry trees,” which are larger than other cherry varieties and bloom for only three days. These king cherry trees can be found in downtown Seogwipo and around the Jeju Sports Complex.
Jeonju:This is where visitors can "find the most beautiful cherry blossoms in Korea". The flower viewing spots are Wansan Park and some roads around the city. Ask the locals for directions.
Gyeongju:The city in the south of the country is home to Bumun Lake and Cheomsongdae Observatory, which are great places to see the flowers in full bloom. Here, visitors can picnic, cycle along the river, and enjoy delicious food at the food stalls.
