Recently, in order to continue to foster close exchanges between the people of the two localities of the country, a working delegation from Hoi An City (Quang Nam Province) is on a working trip to Sakai City (Osaka Province, Japan).
Representatives of Hoi An held a meeting and worked with the Mayor of Sakai City to promote cooperation and exchanges in many fields. The meeting aimed to exchange ideas, seek new cooperation opportunities and promote the connection between the two cities.

Both sides discussed possible future cooperation projects and programs, ranging from cultural activities to economic development and tourism. In this way, they hope to create a closer relationship that will benefit both communities and promote sustainable development in the future.
This meeting is an important first step for a potential partnership between Hoi An and Sakai, opening up many new opportunities and creating common integration and development.
Hoi An will also introduce tourism information and services of the city, organize lantern exhibitions and handicraft products to introduce culture, destinations, discovery and entertainment programs; traditional craft villages;... to attract tourists to Hoi An.
In addition, Hoi An also participated and had art performances at the 2nd Vietnam Festival in Osaka in 2024. This is one of the major events co-organized by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka on April 27-28.
