Recently, in order to further foster close exchanges between the people of the two localities of the country, a delegation from Hoi An City (Quang Nam province) is on a working trip to Sakai City (Osaka province, Japan).
Representatives from Hoi An held a courtesy meeting and working session with the Mayor of Sakai City to promote cooperation and exchange in various fields. The meeting aimed to exchange ideas, seek new cooperation opportunities, and promote linkages between the two cities.
Hoi An - a "special economic zone," a place of Vietnamese-Japanese cultural exchange dating back hundreds of years.
Both sides discussed potential future collaborative projects and programs, ranging from cultural activities to economic development and tourism. In this way, they hope to forge a closer relationship, benefiting both communities and promoting sustainable development in the future.
This meeting marks an important starting point for a potential partnership between Hoi An and Sakai, opening up many new opportunities and fostering integration and shared development.
Hoi An will also introduce tourism information and services of the city, organize lantern exhibitions and handicraft displays to showcase its culture, destinations, exploration and entertainment programs, traditional craft villages, etc., in order to attract tourists to Hoi An.
In addition, Hoi An participated in and presented artistic performances at the 2nd Vietnam Festival in Osaka in 2024. This was one of the major events co-organized by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka on April 27-28.
