Previously, the connection by bus route between Da Nang and Hoi An was implemented. In 2017, Da Nang deployed a number of inner-city bus routes to improve the public transport system in the city. Two years later, the local government also proposed to ban Quang Nam buses from entering the center of Da Nang city, in order to reduce traffic congestion and increase safety for road users.
Hoi An is an attractive destination for tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.
The Da Nang – Hoi An bus route was restarted in October 2020, with a pick-up and drop-off stop at the Vietnam – Korea University, located on the outskirts of Da Nang and close to Dien Ban town of Quang Nam province. The resumption of this bus route not only makes it convenient for people and tourists to travel between the two big cities, but also contributes to reducing traffic congestion and protecting the environment.
