The list above is part of Tripadvisor's Travelers' Choice Awards Best of the Best 2024, which honors destinations with restaurants, hotels, and entertainment that received far more votes than travelers expected. Less than 1% of the 8 million entries were awarded the Best of the Best prize.
During the recent Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Dragon 2024, the People's Committee of Hoi An City reported that the number of tourists staying in Hoi An from February 9th to 13th (the 30th day of the 12th lunar month to the 4th day of the 1st lunar month) reached 26,464, an increase of 7,105 tourists, or 137%, compared to 2023. Of these, international tourists accounted for 21,325 visits, an increase of 36%; while domestic tourists totaled 5,139 visits, a decrease of 19% compared to the same period last year.
