This is the first time the Fair is organized at the regional level hosted by Ha Giang province. Participating in the fair are over 30 booths displaying tourism products, promoting tourism, wooden handicrafts, traditional costumes, artifacts showing the unique cultural values of localities and introducing the cuisine of the Northwest region. The fair will also have many rich activities such as: Art festival of community cultural tourism villages of 8 Northwest provinces; Tourism photo exhibition of 8 Northwest provinces displaying splendid natural photos of Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark in Ha Giang province and beautiful landscapes of 8 Northwest provinces...

In addition to tourism promotion activities, the 2014 Northwest Tourism Fair also organized a conference to discuss the production of tourism products in Ha Giang province; promote and bring tourists to Ha Giang, to the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark.
The Fair is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation in tourism development among the provinces in the expanded 8-province Northwest region. The Organizing Committee hopes that through the Fair, it will create changes in the work of promoting and promoting destinations, introducing tourism products, especially the strengths of community tourism associated with promoting the image of tourism typical of the Northwest region.
At the same time, promote the program of linking 8 expanded Northwest provinces, make joint efforts for initiatives to build the "Northwest Tourism Brand", the "Northwest Arc" tourism route, the "Back to the Source Tourism" program, the World Heritage tourism program "Dong Van-Ha Giang Karst Plateau Global Geopark"... contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of each locality. Form a cooperative bloc for sustainable tourism development, contributing to the preservation and promotion of cultural values associated with the development of Northwest tourism, creating conditions for the Northwest to officially become one of the 8 unique tourist destinations of Vietnam.
