Not as noisy as famous tourist destinations, Hon Cau still retains its wild, intact beauty as in the beginning, so that everyone who sets foot here can feel the gentle breath of nature.
The receding tide reveals fine white sand and dry coral reefs, clearly showing the marks of time.
Unspoiled nature and rich ecosystem
As soon as the ship docked, I felt like I was in another world. Before my eyes was a long stretch of pristine white sand, winding along the cool green coconut trees. The sea water was so clear that I could see the small sparkling pebbles at the bottom, each wave gently lapping the sand as if telling the story of the ocean. At Hon Cau, everything happened slowly and gently, as if time had stopped to reserve for peaceful moments.
Hon Cau is quiet at low tide
I followed the small path, under the cool shade of the coconut forest. The sound of birds chirping echoed somewhere, mixed with the sound of waves lapping, making me feel light-hearted. Hon Cau is not only beautiful in its scenery, but also contains a story about life, about the journey of sustainable nature protection. Here, mangrove forests and marine ecosystems are still carefully preserved, providing shelter for many rare species.

Lots of sea cucumbers here
With white coral reefs basking in the sun
Visitors can easily go scuba diving to see the coral or kayak to explore the surrounding area. The feeling of being immersed in the ocean, seeing the magical sea creatures with your own eyes, is truly an unforgettable experience.
Majestic historical vestiges
Hon Cau is not only a tourist destination, it is also a place associated with emotional historical stories. In the past, this small island was a place of exile for revolutionaries, including heroes such as Nguyen An Ninh and Le Hong Phong. The feeling of setting foot on a land that has witnessed many historical changes makes me love the value of freedom even more, cherishing every moment of present peace. The remaining ruins on the island are clear evidence of this land's resilient past.
Place of exile for patriotic political prisoners
I had the opportunity to listen to the rangers share about the work of protecting the heritage and special ecosystem at Hon Cau. The stories were not only about history, but also about the constant efforts to preserve the rare sea turtles here. Hon Cau is one of the important points in the sea turtle conservation work of Con Dao, with many mother turtles choosing this place to lay their eggs every breeding season.

Green travel experience
One of the highlights that makes Hon Cau special is its sustainable development and eco-tourism. Visitors come here not only to visit, but also to participate in environmental protection activities such as picking up trash, taking care of forest trees and especially observing the process of sea turtle conservation. Witnessing the scene of baby turtles just hatching from eggs, struggling to take their first steps to the sea, everyone will surely feel their smallness before nature and the responsibility to protect it.
Walking on the island, feels like being lost in a vast tropical forest.
The last rays of the day covered the whole sky and earth.

The journey to discover Hon Cau taught me many things - about the connection between humans and nature, about the responsibility to protect what is beautiful and fragile. Hon Cau is peaceful, not luxurious, but has a strong attraction because of its pristine beauty and the profound stories it tells. If you want to find a place to listen to yourself, to blend with nature in the silence of the ocean, Hon Cau is the place for you.
