According to the plan, Hue Imperial City Night Street will be piloted in phase 1 from January 1, 2022, organized in the area from Cua The Nhon to 23/8 Street and Le Huan Street from Nam Thang Fortress to Yet Kieu Street, aiming to create experiences of learning about Hue culture through activities simulating Nguyen Dynasty festivals, folk arts, street festival activities, shopping for Hue specialties, etc. After the pilot, the city will consider and evaluate to continue implementing the walking street with 4 routes including: Le Huan, 23/8, Dang Thai Than and Doan Thi Diem.
In particular, in addition to creating cultural experiences, Mr. Vo Le Nhat - Chairman of Hue City People's Committee recently also said that the Imperial City night street will not sell alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine to tourists coming to have fun and visit, instead, it will sell products with a strong Hue character at 28 stalls.
Mr. Vo Le Nhat said: "We aim to build a night street imbued with Hue culture, in which the ancient Hue Royal Court culture and art stand out. In the future, this walking street will add many night tourism activities associated with the Hue Imperial City relics and the Hue Citadel relic system after the residential area is cleared."

Currently, preparations for the walking street are almost complete. The city government is also encouraging businesses in this area to hang Hue lanterns and decorative lights that do not use white light to decorate the entire street. After opening in early 2022, the Hue Imperial City night street will have many unique artistic activities, imbued with Hue royal and folk culture. The walking street is expected to open every Friday and Saturday evening, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The neighborhood will have 28 stalls and 4 areas for cultural activities at Le Huan Street Park.
This will be Hue's third night walking street combining tourism and cultural experiences, following the previous walking streets of Nguyen Dinh Chieu and the "Western" neighborhood of Chu Van An - Pham Ngu Lao - Vo Thi Sau on the south bank of the Perfume River.
