Film set tour

According to director Tran Bao Nhan, director of the film "Gai Gia Lam Chieu" (The Old Lady with Many Tricks), one of the films shot in Hue, Thua Thien Hue has full potential to develop into a film location because the ancient capital of Hue is not only a land rich in history and culture, but also has mountains, rivers, seas, and cities interspersed with ancient architectural works, palaces, and magnificent temples... And this is a place that brings together many contents and elements to exploit for the film industry.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Hue's culture through a tour and experience program called "Discovering the Film Set in Hue with the Five-Panel Ao Dai." Visitors will tour destinations such as: An Dinh Palace, Ngo Mon Gate - Hue Imperial Palace, Hue Ancient Garden Houses, An Hien Garden House, Thien Mu Pagoda… Before departure, visitors will receive a five-panel Ao Dai and listen to an introduction about the history and story of this new tourism product.

This program will offer participants a completely new experience. Tourists, dressed in traditional Hue-style five-panel ao dai (long dress), will ride on eco-friendly electric vehicles to "check-in" at locations that have served as filming locations for several highly successful Vietnamese films in recent times.

This is also part of the plan implemented by the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism, within the important strategy of promoting the image of "Hue - the capital of Ao Dai" and "Hue - a safe and friendly destination" to a wide audience of locals and tourists from all over the world.

A tour to see Hue from above.

One of the most captivating tourist destinations in Hue today is Hon Vuon Mountain, located in Huong Ho commune, Huong Tra district. Here, visitors can not only "hunt for clouds" but also admire the picturesque and poetic mountain scenery. Furthermore, the area is now home to a number of wild animals.

To conquer the mountain peak, visitors must overcome a steep and challenging path, but the reward is an ideal view that everyone enjoys. Of course, this type of trekking tour is only for those who are healthy and enjoy exploring, as the number of calories burned during the trip is considerable.

From the summit of Hon Vuon, fatigue will quickly fade, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in nature and relax while admiring the Perfume River and Ngu Mountain from an altitude of over 300 meters. Here, tourists can "hunt for clouds" and witness sunrise or sunset in the cool weather of Hue.

With its lower altitude and less strenuous effort required to admire Hue from above, Vong Canh Hill is a must-visit destination. It boasts perfect beauty amidst the clouds, rivers, mountains, and trees. Furthermore, Vong Canh Hill is renowned as the best place to watch the sunset in Hue. Historically, it was a resting place for many emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty to admire the scenery and compose poetry, hence the name "Vong Canh" (meaning "Viewing Hill").

The entire hillside is covered in lush greenery. Therefore, upon arriving, visitors will experience a refreshing and comfortable feeling at any time of day. Especially with the granite paving stones lining the winding paths around the hill, through the ancient pine forest, and the fountain nearing completion, it's perfectly normal for visitors to mistake themselves for being in some kind of highland paradise!

To make your trip even more enjoyable, the ideal time is in the morning when the mist is dissipating, the first rays of sunlight peek through the leaves, and dew drops still linger on the pine treetops. At that time, you'll surely realize that Hue has a unique charm that truly cannot be found anywhere else.
