The number of tourists visiting Quang Binh has increased more than fourfold.

In the first quarter of this year, the total number of tourists visiting Quang Binh province reached nearly 650,000, 4.45 times higher than the same period in 2022. Total revenue from tourism reached over 733 billion VND; the number of overnight stays reached nearly 300,000, more than double compared to the same period last year; and revenue from accommodation services is estimated at over 94 billion VND. These are positive signs showing that Quang Binh's tourism is continuing its strong recovery.

Currently, Quang Binh province has officially launched and is testing more than 30 tourism products. In early February this year, Phong Nha Tourism Center and Dong Hoi city were ranked among the Top 10 friendliest destinations in Vietnam in 2023, as voted by tourists worldwide. Rum Ho Village, Dong Chau-Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve, and Va Cave in Quang Binh were included in the "Top 7 most impressive places in Vietnam 2022" according to a selection by Saigon Marketing - a publication of the Saigon Economic Magazine group. In 2023, Quang Binh's tourism industry aims to welcome 3-3.5 million tourists, including approximately 100,000 international visitors; total revenue from tourism is projected at 3,400-3,900 billion VND.

Quang Binh province is planning to organize activities to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park being recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage site. The celebration will include many events such as: the Quang Binh Cave Festival 2023; a scientific conference on the theme "The Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park World Natural Heritage Site: Adaptation, Integration and Sustainable Development"; and an Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional dress) festival with the theme "Ao Dai - Returning to the Land of Heritage"...

Mr. Tran Thang, Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee, stated: "Improving the quality of tourism products and services, proactively researching and conducting field surveys, and diversifying new tourism products are crucial to meeting the trends and needs of tourists. This will be coupled with strengthening the management and supervision of tourist reception and service by tourism businesses and tourist attractions in the province to ensure tourism safety and security during the 2023 tourism season, especially during the peak period of April 30th - May 1st."
