Okura Nikko Hotels Group recently appointed Dawson Tan as the new General Manager of Nikko Saigon Hotel. He will lead the hotel's management team in realizing business objectives while ensuring guests enjoy an exceptional and memorable service experience.

Dawson Tan has 22 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, he began his career at Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur in 2002. There, he embraced the spirit of "Omotenashi" (Japanese hospitality) through his management of Benkay Japanese Restaurant, a favorite destination for royalty, local celebrities, and business delegations.

Dawson Tan has been appointed as the new General Manager of Nikko Saigon Hotel.

In 2007, Mr. Dawson began his 17-year career in China as the Japanese Restaurant Manager at the newly established Hotel Nikko Tianjin. There, he progressed through various positions including Food & Beverage Manager, Food & Beverage Director, and finally, Assistant Executive Director. His significant contributions to hotel operations and management are marked by his unwavering dedication to raising product and service standards and ensuring customer satisfaction consistently exceeds expectations.

In 2012, Mr. Dawson took on a key role as Assistant Managing Director in the pre-opening phase of the Nikko Guangzhou Hotel. Following the successful opening, he was promoted to Vice President, overseeing the operations of departments including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Security, and Engineering.

During his 12 years at Hotel Nikko Guangzhou, Mr. Dawson's exemplary work ethic and leadership skills guided the team to numerous accomplishments, including the Okura Nikko Hotel Group's Best Overseas Hotel Award for Revenue Improvement in 2018, and the Okura Nikko Hotel Group's Best Restaurant Award in 2019.
