Explore the Thousand Islands with 1,864 'green gems'

An archipelago of 1,864 large and small islands located on the Canada-US border is an ideal destination for those who want to explore the sea and islands.

The name of this archipelago also corresponds to the number of islands here. Thousand in English means thousands. The archipelago rises in the northeast of Canada's Lake Ontario and stretches 80km along the Saint Lawrence River into the sea.

 

The islands here average about 25km in size and are home to thousands of people. The largest island in the archipelago is Wolfe Island, which is 29km long and 9km wide.

What is remarkable about the Thousand Islands is that each island has at least one house, even a villa, surrounded by greenery.
