An archipelago of 1,864 islands of varying sizes located on the Canada-US border is truly an ideal destination for those wishing to explore the sea and islands.

The name of this archipelago corresponds to the number of islands it contains. "Thousand" in English means thousands. The archipelago emerges northeast of Lake Ontario in Canada and stretches 80km along the Saint Lawrence River as it flows into the sea.

The islands here average about 25km in size and are home to thousands of people. The largest island in the archipelago is Wolfe Island, measuring 29km in length and 9km in width.

What's remarkable about the Thousand Islands is that each island has at least one house, or even a villa, surrounded by greenery.
