Malaysia Tourism Promotion Agency in Vietnam (Tourism Malaysia) in collaboration with the Embassy of Malaysia in Hanoi, Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts (MTCP) Sarawak, Batik Air, National Association of Private Education Institutions of Malaysia (NAPEI Malaysia), Resorts World Genting, ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre and Columbia Leisure Travel Company participated in the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2024. The event will take place from April 11 to 14, 2024 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center (ICE).
VITM Hanoi 2024 with the theme “Tourism - Green transformation for sustainable development”, emphasizes responsible tourism associated with environmental protection for sustainable development. Therefore, the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and its partners will introduce potential tourist destinations, including eco-tourism, which is the strength of the Malaysian tourism industry.
Throughout the 4-day event, the colorful image of Malaysia will be recreated through traditional Sarawak dance performances, Sape traditional musical instrument performances, quiz activities to learn about Malaysia and Teh Tarik tea dance performed by cultural artisans from Malaysia.

Tourism Malaysia also updates the latest products and tourist attractions in Malaysia, including the state of Sarawak. Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia, located on the island of Borneo, also known as the “land of the hornbill” - this rare bird is an important cultural symbol of the Dayak people.
On April 10, before the VITM Hanoi 2024 event, the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board also organized a Seminar and Malaysia Tourism Product Update at Lotte Hotel Hanoi. The seminar is expected to bring useful information on educational tourism, settlement policies, airline incentives and outstanding and new tourist destinations in Malaysia to travel agencies and media in Hanoi.

With the expectation of attracting 27.3 million international visitors to Malaysia in 2024, the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board in Vietnam believes that participating in VITM Hanoi 2024 will be one of the ideal opportunities to introduce Malaysia's unique tourist destinations, colorful culture and natural wonders towards Visit Malaysia 2026 (Visit Malaysia Year 2026).
