According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, Nha Trang Port, which receives the majority of international cruise ship passengers, is undergoing upgrades, preventing some ships from docking and causing cancellations. Since September, international cruise lines have begun choosing Cam Ranh International Port, with its modern facilities, as a destination for passengers to disembark and explore the area.
Khanh Hoa province has requested the Command of Naval Region 4 to create favorable conditions for tourism businesses and related units to conveniently and quickly welcome and serve cruise ship tourists arriving at Cam Ranh International Port.
Khanh Hoa province has proposed that the Command of Naval Region 4 provide support in welcoming international cruise ship tourists at Cam Ranh International Port to promote local tourism.
According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, Nha Trang Port, which receives the majority of international cruise tourists, is currently undergoing upgrades. International cruise lines have begun choosing Cam Ranh International Port as a point of entry for passengers disembarking for sightseeing since September of this year. Therefore, the department has proposed receiving tourists via Cam Ranh International Port and developing a 7-hour Cam Ranh - Cam Lam tour to serve those disembarking for sightseeing.
This tour itinerary starts from Cam Ranh International Port, beginning with a visit to Tu Van Pagoda, then proceeding to Suoi Tien Sheep Farm or Natural Paradise to visit the sheep farm, learn about rice cultivation, watch traditional musical instrument performances, and participate in preparing and enjoying traditional dishes. Next, visitors will visit Cam Lam mango orchards, drink tea, and enjoy mango products.
The provincial tourism industry believes that the tour will contribute to improving the quality of the destination for tourists.
Previously, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province also issued a document regarding the development of a tour program for international cruise ship passengers visiting Cam Ranh International Port. In this document, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province requested Tan Cang - Petro Cam Ranh Co., Ltd. to continue working with the Command of the 4th Naval Region to resolve issues and provide support to departments, agencies, and tourism businesses in organizing the reception and service of cruise ship tourists at Cam Ranh International Port; and to proactively report any difficulties and obstacles so that the Department of Tourism can compile a report for the People's Committee of the province.
The provincial tourism industry believes that the tour will contribute to improving the quality of destinations serving tourists, including cruise ship tourists, when visiting Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa; and contribute to diversifying the tourist market and tourism products.
